Privacy notice

Keep first contact public-safe.

This notice describes the behavior of the current OCTechie public website. It does not describe every future service, private client implementation, or internal OCTechie system.

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Current collection

The public site is designed to collect as little as practical.

Guided Request Builder

The builder runs in your browser. Your answers and the prepared request are not submitted to an OCTechie backend. OCTechie receives the request only when you deliberately send it through your email application, share it through another channel, or communicate it during a call.

Local measurement metadata

The current site records a limited browser-session event history for navigation and conversion testing. It may include an event name, page path, clicked link or label, selected intent, source label, module label, and timestamp. It does not intentionally record Guided Request answers or prepared request text.

Hosting and security logs

Production deployment may use Cloudflare proxy, DNS, security, zone traffic analytics, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Those services may process technical request information such as IP address, user agent, requested route, timestamp, response status, and diagnostic data needed to operate and protect the site. OCTechie may also use Google Cloud Run and related Google Cloud hosting and build infrastructure.

Email and telephone contact

When you email or call OCTechie, the information you choose to provide is processed by the relevant email, telephone, device, and network providers. Their own privacy terms may also apply.

Browser storage and tracking

Local state supports the interface without becoming a public intake database.

Session storage

Navigation and conversion test events are kept in browser sessionStorage, currently limited to the most recent 100 events. Browser session storage is generally cleared when the browser session ends, subject to browser behavior.

The current implementation does not send these events to an OCTechie analytics backend. If activated for production, Cloudflare Web Analytics provides privacy-first measurements of page views, visitors, referrals, device and browser categories, country, and performance. It is not described or used here as advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.

Local admin preferences

The hidden Design System Admin can store visual preferences in browser localStorage. Those preferences control the local display of approved typography, palette, status, and registry-card settings. They are not customer records and are not currently synchronized to OCTechie servers.

Internal utility routes are closed on the public production surface until a reviewed owner identity and session boundary is connected.

What not to send

Describe the workflow instead of exposing sensitive data.

Do not send passwords, API keys, tokens, payment credentials, recovery codes, government identifiers, medical information, raw customer records, private transcripts, confidential documents, or unrestricted system access through the public site or an initial contact message.

If a project later requires private information or access, the scope, purpose, authorized people, retention, transfer method, provider responsibilities, and secure process must be agreed separately.

Use and disclosure

Information is used for the conversation or operation that produced it.

Current purposes

Information intentionally sent to OCTechie may be used to understand your request, communicate with you, evaluate a possible engagement, prepare scope or estimates, provide agreed services, maintain operational and legal records, and protect the site or business from abuse.

Providers and required disclosure

Information may be processed by providers necessary for hosting, communications, security, or an approved engagement. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or establish and defend legal claims.

This version of the site does not intentionally sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and no advertising pixel is intentionally enabled. If that changes, the relevant notice, opt-out controls, and Global Privacy Control handling will be implemented before the change is activated where required.

Retention and control

Keep information only for a legitimate operational reason.

Browser-local data

You can clear site storage through your browser settings. Reset controls in the Design System Admin clear the corresponding local preferences but do not control hosting or communication-provider logs.

Contact and business records

Information you deliberately send may be retained while the request or engagement is active and afterward when reasonably needed for communication history, security, accounting, dispute handling, legal obligations, or documented business continuity.

Requests about your information

You may contact OCTechie to ask what personal information OCTechie controls about you, or to request correction or deletion. The response may require identity verification and may be limited by legal, security, contractual, accounting, backup, or operational exceptions.

California privacy rights

California law provides specific rights when the CCPA applies to a business and processing activity. This notice does not claim that every CCPA requirement applies to OCTechie today; applicable requests will be evaluated based on the actual legal and processing facts.

Signals, children, and changes

State what the site does now, and update the notice before behavior changes.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The current site does not intentionally track a visitor across unrelated third-party websites for behavioral advertising, so a browser Do Not Track signal does not change current behavior. Global Privacy Control becomes a specific release requirement if sale or cross-context sharing is introduced.

Children

The public site is intended for business and professional inquiries, not for children. Do not send information about a child through the Guided Request Builder or first-contact channels.

Notice changes

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. New public AI intake, backend forms, CRM submission, authentication, advertising, third-party analytics, client portals, or private-system connectivity require updated implementation review and privacy disclosure before activation.

Contact

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to chlv@me.com. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in the first message.

Important scope

This notice describes current behavior, not a blanket legal conclusion.

Privacy obligations depend on the data, service, client, jurisdiction, providers, and actual processing involved. Client-specific implementations may require separate notices, agreements, retention rules, consent, security controls, or legal review.
